Wanna Fly a Kite?

Warmer weather without all the up and down temps we've been having is right.around.the.corner.
I can feel it!

Today started out in the 30's, but ended with much warmer temps.
Tucker and I had so much fun at Carver's 5th birthday party, then came home to Daddy and Gracie flying a kite.

These pics aren't from today, they're from about a month ago, a random warm day sandwiched in between some very colder days.

But, it was nice today, and nice then.

Definitely looking forward to the spring weather to come!!!

Sleepover at Papa & Memaw's House

Tucker and Gracie had a sleepover at Papa and Memaw's house last night.
They had been counting down the days all week?
They were beyond excited!
Tucker got up at 5:00 am yesterday morning, ready to pack his things and go.
He was not a happy boy when I told him it wasn't until after nap time that Memaw was coming to get him!

Daddy had taken the day off work, so we took the kids to All About Kids to wear them out so they would nap help the day go by quickly :).

Finally, the time came!

I put on Gracie's shoes, she looked at Memaw and said, "I ready go, Memaw!" looked at me and said, "Bye Mommy! I love you to moon and back!"

Wes loaded Tucker up in his car seat in Memaw's car and he said, "Daddy! This is the best day ever!"

I guess to say they were excited was an understatement lol!

Here are some pictures Mom texted me while they had the kids.

Gone Fishing!

Papa gets a head massage before bed :)

Cinnamon Roll Making the next morning

Obviously, Memaw took all the pictures so, unfortunately, she's not in any of the pictures :(.

Tucker and Gracie had soooo much fun!
Gracie came home with her finger nails and toe nails painted blue to cheer on the Wildcats,
and Tucker was excited to share the cinnamon rolls they made with Mommy and Daddy!

Thank you, Papa and Memaw, for taking such great care of our babies! :)

Basketball 2014

Tucker has very recently taken up a love for basketball.
It still comes and goes.  He'll shoot around all day, pretend to shoot free throws, want Daddy and Mommy to play defense on him....  Then, he doesn't think about it again for a few days.
We have been to a zillion basketball games in his lifetime supporting Aunt Jenni and the Collin's Titans coached by a very dear friend of ours.
He loves going to the games, but more so for socializing with his friends and cousins, the food that he's usually only allowed to get at basketball games (nachos, M&M's, hot dogs, occasionally a sprite!), and of course, the mascot.  Tucker and Gracie both love a good mascot lol!

Well, his recent love of basketball has definitely grown over the past couple months that he's been playing on a basketball team.  He's one of the youngest kids, if not the youngest one, being that it's a pre-K/Kindergarten league, but he loves it :)!  Daddy coaches, another aspect Tucker loves!

He has really grown over the season.  A few months ago I'm not sure he knew there was much more to basketball than running up and down the court.
Now, he understands offense and defense, rebounding, passing, and more.
Tucker prides himself on two things, running fast and passing the ball.
At an age where every kid wants to be the one who dribbles the ball, and of course scores, I am proud of Tucker for priding himself on passing.  When he has the ball, he doesn't even look to shoot, but instead looks for teammates to pass the ball to.  I think he knows which teammates are more likely to make a goal!  After the game, he will tell me how many passes he made :).  He also gets very excited when a teammate scores.

Other than that, he is known for being very 'animated' while playing!
He makes all kinds of faces, and has moments where he's definitely doing his own thing lol!

The season ended last night, and it was definitely a perfect introduction to the sport :).

Here are some pictures taken over the season:

Daddy coaching

Practice!

Nash was mesmerized by his big cousin playing ball!
 Our little baller!
Tatum was one of Tucker's favorite people to come cheer him on (followed by Aunt Holli, Memaw, Papa, and Uncle Nick)!
 Pre-game fuel!

Gracie loved cheering on her big brother....

.....and hanging out with her friends who were cheering on their big brothers!
Here are Gracie and Ruby :).

Of course, the popcorn wasn't bad either ;).

Team mates!  Charlie, Eli, Caden, and Tucker Bug!

Mommy! Daddy!  There's the mascot!!!
Tucker giving the Collins Titans' mascot a high five!
Tucker and his team played an expo game during half-time of a Collins game!
Being his silly self! And always having a good time!  I love it!!!

Some more game time pics

One of Tucker's few attempts at a goal.  This one was pretty close!

Tucker and his team mate, Davion!

Tucker was soooo very proud of his medal :).
After nap that day, he wore his new medal and his medal from soccer last fall all day lol!

Always a great big brother!!!

Tucker and "Coach Keene", we call him "Daddy" :).

The post-season team!
Remember these faces....I have a feeling there's some future All Stars in this picture ;).

Yep, #9 in the Chuck Taylor's, we are your biggest fans :).

Angels Sleeping....

Whether it's night time,

or nap time

there's something very angelic about sleeping babies (even if they're not actual babies anymore...).

I love sneaking into my Loves' rooms and just quietly watching them for a few seconds.

Soaking in their stillness.

Holding my breath.

Willing them to stop growing so fast.

Praying over them.

Thanking God for choosing ME.

Praying for their little lives and the BIG lives they will live.

Begging God to guide Wes and I as we lead them in those lives, then trusting that HE will.

Praying protection over them.

Swallowing back tears as I think about life's inevitable pain and disappointments they will experience.

Committing to doing everything in my power to lessen that hurt.

Then trying to convince myself that wouldn't be in their best interest.

Praying they always
......have hearts for the broken......
........fight against injustice......
........stand up for what's right......
........use their words to build up.......
......befriend the friendless......
.......root for the underdog........
......are humble in victory, gracious in defeat.....
......are slow to anger......
......have each other's back......
.......dance in the rain......
.......L A U G H out loud......
.......chase their dreams......
......enjoy life......
......follow their hearts......

......have a desire to seek The Lord fully......

Praying they believe Daddy and I love them unconditionally.

No matter what.

Praying they feel that love every. single. day.

Praying they always know how beautiful they are, on the inside and outside.

Perfectly beautiful.

Just a quick peek.

Breath again.

Shhhhh.

Angels are sleeping.
